What Do We Do?
Our role is to represent the village on a variety of matters, for example:
- planning applications
- road and footpath maintenance.
We are the most local unit of government and have the power to raise money (the precept) through the council tax system. In practice we focus on local community, environmental and amenity issues.
Our meetings are held four times a year in Beachamwell Memorial Village Hall. Members of the public are very welcome to attend and can speak during the open session at each meeting. At other times please feel free to contact us with your views, concerns or for advice.
Generally the clerk to the Council is the first point of contact but any councillor may be contacted directly.
